MONTAGES
WHAT WE DID;
The technique we used to make the following manipulated images below is called Montaging using Photoshop. To make the images we first had to select four images and place them into Photoshop. We were then told to combine the images into one so using Montage Photoshop I changed the opacity of some of the images and kept the bottom image on one hundred percent. I then dragged the images onto the background image (100% opacity image) using the move tool and made them each layers. Lastly I manipulated the layer ordering and the place of where I wanted them. This created a montaged image. And to improve the image I adjusted the levels of each image which made them darker.
While experimenting on Photoshop I found out changing the opacity more on some of the images gives the picture a more creepy look and quite interesting feel.
EVALUATION
I enjoyed this technique because it is not a very complex technique to use and its very effective. However I disliked the placing of the images as the background is still over the other images even if you change the opacity. So next time I do Montages using Photoshop I will use my skills in photoshoped to take the magic wand tool and remove the excess background giving a plain and clean image when it comes to placing the image onto another picture it would be easier to place the image where I want it without a background getting in the way slightly of the main picture removing the to have rigged edges on the sides.
This technique successfully enhanced the images. It gives more depth to the picture. If I had a project topic of human portraits I could use this technique to create fearful and frightening images, by scary faces into the background of each corner..
